Chronology

Paddington returns to Peru to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy, who is currently living in the Home for Retired Bears. An exciting adventure begins with the Brown family when a mystery draws them on an unexpected journey. However, he proposed the idea for the third film and was involved as an executive producer. Starring Graham Norton and guest stars: Billy Crystal/Emily Mortimer/Hugh Bonneville/Pharrell Williams/Michael Kiwanuka (2024).

I loved Paddington 1 and 2

I always knew that with a different director, different setting and story, the third film in the series would be special. For me, this film had three problems. The first was the weak script. I couldn't connect with the film and the reason was the bad script.

The third problem is the lack of character development

The charm of the franchise, which was always evident and exploited in the first two, is irrelevant. And with that wholesome feeling that you don't feel and the lack of charm, it completely kills the film. The way the characters were developed in the first and second films is brilliant and extraordinary and although it is difficult in this film it was still weak. The second film was the best, from the excellent acting by Hugh Grant, to the good foreshadowing and character development - this film.

is nowhere near those levels

Sally Hawkins is not in this film and that is a great loss, although Emily Mortimer does well in her role, she is greatly missed and could have made this film better. This film has some great moments, from the iconic look to the plot twist. I would say this one has some good moments, I am picking the bad parts of this film, however it is decent. If you have followed the series and have seen the first two films, this one is different and unique but still fun to watch.

There are some beautiful sequences that take your breath away

For me 7.9/10.
