I haven’t read or heard of the books Silo is based on. The story is good and interesting. The show is set 140 years after the apocalypse. The remaining 10,000 people now live in a bunker, and these people have never been outside. They don't even know what stars are. However, they know that going outside the bunker is deadly dangerous. Some people decide to go outside to learn more, but they always die. Those who stay in the bunker can look out the window every time someone wants to leave, and see how and when they die. Rebecca Ferguson plays the lead role of Juliette Nichols, who tries to figure out what's outside the bunker and why they can't get out without dying. The acting is good, as is the character development. However, the pace can be a bit slow, as there are a few episodes to fill. They could definitely have shortened the series to at least two episodes, but that doesn't really bother me because the series is overall very good. I'm looking forward to season 2 with lots of intrigue, mystery, and answers to questions about what's going on outside the bunker!
